The US championship for Toad Hunters still remains with our home country. This weekend we had some lovely German children trying to break the record of 23 toads. Even though they gave it a gallent try, the toads did not co-operate. So, as it stands, the Seattle children are still on top. Godd try for all. Until later! Tess.

This week we had another interesting group at the Ranch. We made some new friends and the doggies all fell in love with some wonderful children from Victoria. I wish I could take the children that come here and put them in a jar and pull them out when I need a boost. I should be so lucky! Cheers!

We are all geared up here on The Ranch for our upcoming guests. There is lavender on their doors and a small gift of lavender in their rooms and in the Cottage. We are really looking forward to seeing all the new faces and a few of the old faces. Last year we had a roaring campfire at night and have folks from all over the world chatting to each other. It was great fun!
This year we have folks from back east, from the Seattle area and from Canada. It should be a fun time. We will roast marshmellows and put chocolate on them and squeeze them into graham crackers.
It has been glorious weather here and should continue right through the festival and on.
Last week we had a returning guest and her daughter in the Cottage and they boarded my kayaiik and slipped down the ditch, ending at the Cottage. They had a fun time. They are probably the first folks (besides myself) that has ever been down the canal by the Ranch. They hung around the Cottage and enjoyed the Ranch to its fullest. What a treat for us to see them relax. They sure earned time of rest with their busy schedules in Oregon.
sue’s daughter Anna will be my second pal on this site and I am looking forward to keeping her posted and hearing what she is doing.
Until my next post….
